Tea Farm Masui-san’s Best Tea
Encounter a fragrant black tea at Kawanehoncho
Kawanehoncho is a world precious eco-preserved area located in the upper stream of the Oi River with its aquifers from the Southern Japan Alps. The suitable climate has endeared some tea farmers and master tea makers to produce original cultivars skillfully by hand for generations. Etsuro Masui, a 5th generation of the Masui-en Tea Farm which dates back to the Samurai period, is one such tea master meticulously growing chemical-free leaves. The black tea with the best aroma brought out by his artisanship has won many awards. The rich deep taste of his black tea has been gaining more fans home and abroad. Although there are some other excellent tea producing areas throughout the world, a sip of the Kawanehoncho single-origin black tea and other kinds like a wilted green tea are guaranteed to delight your taste buds.
