TRIP WITH UNPARALLELED HOSPITALITY
Enjoy a relaxing teatime, where you’ll befriend local people and be comfortable with the character of the locality while touring Shizuoka.
This tea field with its symbolic "Solitary Japanese Cedar" is located on the steep hillside of the 500-meter high mountain. It commands a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji and the interlocking mountain ranges which seem to be floating in a sea of clouds from there. The tea farm owners have proudly preserved the surrounding nature of the symbolic cedar and grown their tea trees with great care and love to pass on to future generations. The farm is located in Yoshiwara District, about a 15 minute-drive from Shimizu town center. The natural combination of huge night and day temperature differences, moderate rainfall and well drained soil makes Yoshiwara an excellent location for tea growing. Tea made from 100% Yoshiwara-grown leaves has a rich savory Umami and flavor. KANEBUN Tea Cafe offers you a unique opportunity to learn how to make a good cup of their hand-picked tea and enjoy its natural taste with select seasonal sweets while savouring a view of Mt. Fuji.
