Shopping

Given that Suruga is the source of nearly half of Japan’s green tea, it is no surprise that its tea shops offer a wide variety of quality products. Mostly located in Suruga’s urban areas, such as Shizuoka and Shimada City, these tea shops sell fresh and uniquely blended tea and matcha that you cannot find elsewhere. As an added bonus, some of these shops offer tea-related workshops. Aside from tea, Suruga is also home to Shitoro-Ware, a time-honored type of pottery, which makes a wonderful souvenir to immortalize your trip.
