Gashoan, Chiyoda store

Shizuoka Downtown

Gashoan' is a tea-based sweets store located in Shizuoka City. We are most famous for our “Marifuku” (ball-shaped, cream-filled mochi) and “Chiyo no Wa” (our own baumkuchen cake). Our sweets are loved by children and adults alike, including our marifuku parfait and anmitsu (a traditional dessert made with jelly and fruit). We also offer matcha omurice (fried rice wrapped in/topped with omelette) and pasta dishes made from Shizuoka matcha pasta. We hope you can visit and enjoy our tea-based selection.

Access

  • About 15 minutes by car from Shizuoka Station.
  • About 5 minutes by car from the Minami Numagami Danchi Iriguchi exit on the Seisei Bypass.

The Surroundings

Shizuoka Downtown

Shizuoka City’s central Downtown Area is Japan’s main green tea merchant’s business district. The district also plays a central role in Suruga’s local tourism thanks to its excellent connections to east and west Japan via the Shinkansen (high speed rail) line, JR Tokaido local train line, Tokaido Highway and Mt. Fuji Shizuoka International Airport.
