Maruichi Mizuno Tea Farm

Shizuoka Downtown

Savor a special moment among a gentle tea landscape.

Maruichi Mizuno Tea Farm is a tea plantation at the foot of Nihondaira in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka.

Founded in 1907, the farm has grown and processed its distinct tea across six generations, which it sells direct from its shop.

Their signature tea is Yabukita, a shallow-steamed sencha tea representative of Shizuoka. Other popular teas they produce include fragrant hojicha and gently sweetened Japanese black tea.

The farm is only a 10-minute drive from Shimizu Port or a 20-minute drive from Shizuoka Station.

The Maruichi Tea Tour allows visitors to relax and savor tea on the terrace while enjoying a 360-degree view of the tea fields and Mt. Fuji.

Visitors can enjoy picking tea, dressing up in traditional tea-picking garments, and touring a tea processing factory as part of a unique “tea trip”.

Come visit to experience and enjoy their tradition and hospitality.

*Depending on the time of year, a certified Japanese tea instructor will guide visitors.
